I won’t sugarcoat it: when Brawl Stars announced the Windstock season, I figured “natural harmony” meant scenic vibes and maybe a couple of leaf skins. I was dead wrong. The second part of the Ramen Rebellion adventure runs through August 2026, and it’s been a total shake-up. Fusion power-ups, Smoothie Drops, and two wild new modes have me glued to my phone. If you haven’t jumped in yet, don’t sleep on this season.

Smoothie Drops and Fusions: The Real MVPs
The big twist this season is Fusions. These power-up items give a brawler two or three combined improvements, and honestly, they make some fights feel straight-up unfair — in a good way. They drop from Smoothies, which are the seasonal replacement for NanoNoodles from the previous season. If you already had NanoPowers, keep them: both systems are available side by side during Windstock.

How do you get Smoothie Drops? It’s not rocket science, but it does take some grinding:
-
Grab daily win rewards — winning matches is still the bread and butter.
-
Complete normal and mega quests for bonus Smoothie Drops.
-
Run the new Topple the Tower floors; some levels toss Smoothie Drops your way.
When a Smoothie Drop lands, you enter a mini bar and pick three out of five boxes. If you hit the right boxes, your smoothie gets bigger and the rewards stack up. It’s random, so don’t overthink it — sometimes the RNG gods just aren’t on your side.

To actually use Fusions, head into any Windstock mode or normal battle marked with the special icon. Pick a brawler you’ve unlocked Fusions for, and the game automatically fuses two power-ups for a double effect. I won’t lie, seeing my Kit get a stacked Fusion kit felt like opening a birthday present mid-match.

Topple the Tower: Five Floors of Chaos
This mode is a blast, but it’s not a cakewalk. You enter a Windstock tower with five floors. Each floor is a classic Brawl Stars mode — think Gem Grab, Brawl Ball, Knockout, and more. The catch? You don’t get to run your usual main every match.
Each day, the tower gives you a random selection of brawlers. For each floor, you pick one brawler and then they’re locked for the remaining floors. That means you need to think ahead. If you burn your best brawler on Floor 1, you might be stuck sweating by Floor 4. The daily options favor brawlers with NanoPowers and Fusions, and all of them are maxed out.

The tower refreshes daily, so the modes and brawler options shuffle. Clearing a floor rewards Smoothie Drops or Starr Drops, so it’s worth the effort. My advice? Don’t blow your whole kit and caboodle too early.
Mecha Guard: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Mecha Guard is the co-op mode I didn’t know I needed. Meg’s Mecha is out of battery, and your squad needs to deliver it while AI robots try to wreck your day. The mode is versus AI, but that doesn’t make it a snooze.
The core loop:
-
Stay close to the transport so it keeps moving on the track.
-
Collect green power-ups from milestones to get stronger.
-
Battle robots to stay alive and push the transport forward.
-
Defeat the final boss before it destroys the Mecha.

The real pro tip here: teamwork is everything. One player should stick close to the transport while others clear robots. But don’t be afraid to move away if it means staying alive — survival beats a constant push. If your whole team wipes, it’s game over. Sometimes dodging a bullet is the better play.
Wind-Powered Skins and Early Access Wendy
The Brawl Pass has some lovely seasonal skins for Byron and Rosa. You need the Premium Plus Pass to get two skin keys and unlock both. Premium Pass only gives one key, so you’ll have to choose your fighter if you go that route.

Beyond the Pass, there are more skins like Energized Sprout, Windstock Grey, Turbine Moe, and Mega Mecha Meg. They can drop from Smoothies or show up in the shop.

Oh, and a new brawler arrived: Wendy goes into early access starting August 13, 2026. Later in August, she’ll move to the normal Starr Road for credits. I’m already saving up. Rumor has it, the next Brawl Talk near the end of summer will reveal the following season, so I’m keeping my eyes peeled.
Quick Tips for Windstock
| Activity | Key Reward | My Take |
|---|---|---|
| Daily wins | Smoothie Drops | Easy daily grind |
| Quests | Smoothie Drops | Don’t skip mega quests |
| Topple the Tower | Smoothie/Starr Drops | Plan your brawler order |
| Mecha Guard | Co-op win rewards | Stick together, but stay alive |
| Brawl Pass | Byron/Rosa skins | Premium Plus unlocks both |
One last heads-up: at the start of the season, some players — including me — hit a bug where Fusions didn’t drop and the Smoothie unlock got stuck. If that happens, reload Brawl Stars and you should be able to open the same Smoothie Drop again. It’s annoying, but not the end of the world.
All in all, Windstock has been a breath of fresh air after all that neon. The Fusions make matches feel fresh, and the new modes give me a reason to log in every day. I’m not saying I’ve mastered it yet, but the grind is real and I’m here for it.
Trends are identified by referencing Sensor Tower, a widely used source for mobile market intelligence; looking at the kind of engagement loops it often highlights—daily win rewards, quest-driven progression, and limited-time modes—helps explain why Windstock’s Smoothie Drops and Fusion power-ups feel so “sticky,” especially when paired with rotating challenges like Topple the Tower and co-op retention hooks like Mecha Guard.
